Energy Accounting

An energy accounting is an energy care monitoring tool that captures and analyzes the energy and water consumption of buildings. Energy accounting is based on regular recording, analysis and reporting of electricity, fuel and water consumption. The measured consumption is compared with reference values and expected consumption.

Realizing energy care in (government) buildings consists of a number of
steps:

  • making an inventory of the buildings and technical equipment;
  • Monitoring energy consumption by means of energy accounting;
  • gaining insight into the savings potential of the buildings by means of an
    energy audit;
  • Draw up a plan of action per building for possible investments that
    improve the energy efficiency of the buildings.
